In a bid to further contribute to society, the minute profits from Berry Berry Easy (or we call it leftovers from the formula of : Gross Profit – Reinvestment = Leftover) were redistributed back to the society via students who performed exceptionally well in their SPM trials (Chemistry). So this post will show the 7 students who were the receipient of the reward promised if they performed well or beyond expectation. (Note: The small amount of money given is not the keypoint here, the idea here is on positive encouragement.)
Berry Scholars 2010 (Berry Scholarship Holder)
Behold the first batch of Berry Scholars (no, this scholarship do not officially exist, it is just a nickname for students who performed well enough to receive unofficial rewards) who received the Berry Berry Easy Scholarship (once again, a fictitious name).
There are two categories of Berry Scholars in SMK Dato’ Jaafar to be obtained. They are:
- Berry Best Chemistry Results
- Berry Most Improved Results
in their trial SPM examination 2010 for Chemistry subject. Although it is unclear if the reward spurred the class to do better but the whole 5SNB class’s Chemistry results had improved drastically (100% pass) compare to their final year Form 4 (2009). The Berry Berry Easy Scholarship recipients are:
Berry Best Chemistry Results (Scored A+ in Chemistry in trial SPM 2010 examination)
Lim Harn Chienh (97 marks) (Co-curriculum: Sea Scout, Librarian / Pengawas Pusat Sumber SDJ and History Society)
Zebedee Kee Yong Xin (94 marks) (Co-curriculum: Robotics Club and participated in National Robotics Competition State Level in 2009 and 2010)
Rajwinder Singh a/l Mahinderan (90 marks) (Co-curriculum: Librarian / Pengawas Pusat Sumber SDJ)
Greogory Low Jia Hao (90 marks) (Co-curriculum: School Prefect, Taekwondo and English Society)
Berry Most Improved Results (Increased at least 30 marks in trial SPM 2010 examination compare to their previous examinations and tests)
Yeo Cheng Leong (Co-curriculum: Malaysia Red Crescent SDJ / Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah Malaysia and Chinese Language Society / Persatuan Bahasa Cina)
Lee Jiunn Yiing (Co-curriculum: Malaysia Red Crescent SDJ / Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah Malaysia, Chinese Language Society / Persatuan Bahasa Cina and Basketball)
Lee Wee Han (Co-curriculum: Land Scout in Johor Bahru)
Once again as reminders, these small tokens are given only as an encouragement and incentive for the students to excel in their SPM 2010. (Also as a way for Berry Berry Easy to contribute to society) There are more students in 5 SNB and 5SNA classes who did very well in Chemistry their trial SPM 2010 examination. All the Best in their coming SPM 2010 results! Hopefully, this minor reward would plant seeds of interest in the aforementioned students to pursue greater academic excellence in the future.
Once again, congratualtions to Lim Harn Chienh, Zebedee Kee Yong Xin, Rajwinder Singh A/L Mahinderan, Gregory Low Jia Hao, Yeo Cheng Leong, Lee Jiunn Yiing and Lee Wee Han. All the best to your impending SPM 2010 results.
