Top 20 Schools in Malaysia – January 2010
February 4, 2010
The top schools in Malaysia has been announced. For those who missed out on the news report, Berry Berry Easy would inform all Berry Readers on the schools that made it to the top. Based on the NST report (http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/articles/20100125173928/Article/index_html) on the 25th of January 2010, there were 14 secondary schools and 6 primary schools which made the list.
So parents who have kids who might enter primary schools might want to take note of the primary school list. Students who will be entering secondary school or Form 4 might want to take note on the secondary school list. It is expected that the number of high performance schools (SBT) will be increased to 30 in 2011 and 50 in 2012. (Keep watching Berry Berry Easy for updated list when they appear, bookmark us in the meantime)

Yearly Plan (Takwim) for STPM Chemistry Form Lower 6 – Year 2010
January 6, 2010
Intake for Lower Six won’t come until few months from now, but as part 3 of the 4-part chemistry yearly plan for SPM and STPM, Berry Berry Easy presents all reader with the yearly plan/takwim for STPM Chemistry Form Lower 6 – Year 2010.
This post is especially useful for teachers who would want to plan for this year’s lower six programme and also for future Form 6 students who takes chemistry. You may start to build up your reading list for Form 6. It is no child’s play, so start studying now in low gear, rather than spending all your time on non-useful activities.
As before, feel free to use it for your own teaching plans (if you are a teacher) or revision plans (if you are a student). Plase share this with your friends. Berry Berry Easy would also like to request teachers who visit this site to contribute takwim/yearly plans for other subjects. There are demands for it. So if you would like to help students beyond your school’s jurisdiction, feel free to drop a comment and get in contact. (I’m sure there are teachers in Malaysia who would like to share out information)

Project-based Learning – For Teachers
November 4, 2009
For teachers who are wondering about what project-based learning is, you are in luck now. Berry Berry Easy is presenting a presentation (yeah, the slides only, you’ll have to read it on your own) on Project-Based Learning. It is taken from a presentation given by Miss Isabelle Wong in SMK Dato’ Jaafar in 2009.
For those who are still clueless about project-based learning (PBL), it is actually in the simplest term, a diagnostic test for students. It is an in-depth diagnostic test to allow students to learn holistically. You don’t only test the knowledge of students. You also test how well they could present it. Being able to answer a question doesn’t show full understanding, being able to impart your knowledge to others is the ultimate proof of knowledge.
Other example of PBLs includes experiments, educational visits (lawatan sambil belajar) and even presentations. So the focus of this PBL is on Presentations. Yeah, a presentation on presentations. Confusing? Not if you download the presentation file from the link below.
So there you go, Presentation of Project-Based Learning (PBL) by Miss Isabelle Wong.
